You can learn what buttons to press in order to get a good print. But at some point you will get a poor print and think something is wrong with your printer. Sometimes it needs to be cleaned. Sometimes it will be out of ink. Often though, the reason lies somewhere in the chain of CM. If you don't understand the logic behind the buttons you press, you will not be able to see what went wrong.
Where to turn for help? Adobe does not offer support. Your printer company more than likely will tell you the fault is with Adobe and they (printer company) do not support a third party (like Adobe).
If you understand the logic behind CM you can find what you did wrong and correct it.
