1. Use Close-up Mode. Write down Close-up setting for F stop, speed and ISO.

2. Shoot the same object using Manual mode with the same F stop, speed and ISO as Cose-up mode.

3. Shoot the same object with different apertures (F stop). Try a very small and very large aperture or F stop. Which do you like and why?

clearer background

F-8, 1/80 sec, ISO100,FL70mm

more blur background

F-5, 1/160 sec, ISO100,FL70mm

4. Shoot an image with the same aperture but changing the focus from foreground, middle or background.

Focus on forground

F4, 1/125 sec, ISO100, Manual, FL100

Focus on mid ground

F4, 1/125 sec, ISO100, Manual, FL100

5. Shoot the same image with a wide lens vs a telephoto lens. If you have trouble focusing with Automatic, use Manual Focus on the lens.

6. Try the same image with different lighting conditions, like shade, sun and artificial lighting.
