You will make use of:

  • Batch Processing
  • PDF Slideshow Tool

Before you start PDF slide show:

1. Make a folder called "Original images for SlideShow".

2. Put all your images for your slideshow into this folder. One side of the image should be at least 600 pixels or larger and the other side should be 900 pixels or larger. The image resolusion should be 96 dpi or more. It is okay if the image has layers. You can put both horizontal and vertical images in the same folder.

3. Open File Browser from Photoshop Elements 2.
Then open the "original images for SlideShow" folder. (There are eight imgaes in this folder.)

If you would like to create a cover page using text, go to "Type Tool" from the left menu.

The images are now named "slideshow" and are numbered.

5. Now you are going to resize and change images to jpeg.
Open Batch Processing from File. "Batch" window will appear.
Note: If you have made a cover.psd, make sure in is in this folder.

  1. Choose "Source" -- "original images for slideshow" folder.
  2. Choose JPEG High Quality.
  3. For "Image Size" type "900" for width. Keep Height blank. This is important to keep this as blank, especially if you have both vertical and horizontal images.
"Resolution": choose 96 unless your screen is exceptionaly large.
  4. Click "Destination" and browse the "original image . . .". Make a new folder in the "original image .." folder and call it slideshow. All the resized jpeg image will go into this new folder. If you don't make a separate folder, both original and resized images will be in the same folder and you will have to separate manually and you will be mad at yourself. Click here to see how to make a new folder.
  5. Click "OK". Photoshop Elements 2 starts processing and all the jpeg images will go into the new folder you just created inside "original images ..."
